CE cert for cold water
Regsets with a CE cold water certificate have been tested in waters below 10 degrees. When diving in NL/BE this comes in handy. In summer, the water on the surface may be warmer than 10 degrees, however, when decending to greater depths, you’ll hit various thermoclines in which the water temperature may be less than 10 degrees.

Most BCD’s are unisex, which means that both men and women can wear them. BCD’s for women are especially designed for women. These BCD’s are more narrow at the shoulders and shorter in length, to ensure that it is snug around the waist. Children’s BCD’s are available in smaller sizes.

1st stage connection
1st stage connection
The INT ( yoke) connection uses a clamp type to mount the regulator over the cylinder valve and is tightened into place by screwing the cap. This pushes the first stage into the sealing o-ring of the cylinder valve. With the DIN fitting the male part is screwed into the valve to securely capture the o-ring. We recommend the DIN connection, since this is a safer connection. This connection is mostly used for 300bar cylinders. However, the DIN300 bar connection also works with a 200bar tank valve

The run time is the amount of minutes at maximum strength. After the run time, the torch will shine for another couple of hours, however at a lower light capacity. The run time was measured at room temperature. Diving in colder water may decrease the run time.

Semi-dry
A semi drysuit has cuff seals at the wrists and ankles which allow less cold water to flow in, out and through the suit. Because of this, you will keep warm longer. A semi drysuit with a drysuit zipper ensures that no water will enter the suit through the zipper and that you will stay drier and warmer in the suit.

Many dive computers allow you to change the battery yourself. A tortch with a narrow beam (spot) has a smaller beam angle, between 7 upto 20 degrees. You will be needing this is darker waters such as here in NL/BE. A torch with a broader beam (flood or wide) will illuminate a larger area. This type of beam is mostly used for photography and videography to make sure the light is evenly dispersed. A torch with an adjustable beam can be adjusted during a dive

1st stage air supply
1st stage air supply
When you dive with an unbalanced 1st stage, breathing may become a little harder as your cylinder is being depleted of air. A balanced 1st stage will give you an even resistance during your dive, as long as your cylinder contains more than 20 Bar. An overbalanced 1st stage will give you a little more pressure when at depth, which will make breathing at greater depth easier. You will be able to feel the difference from a depth of 20 to 25 meters.

A bottom timer is a depth guage and timer in one. The freedive mode measures the same as the bottom timer, however it measures in seconds. The air mode is the standard dive mode. A piston 1st stage is easier to service, since there are less parts. However, a piston 1st stage needs to be serviced earlier than other 1st stages, since the water does get inside the 1st stage. A membrane 1st stage may be less maintanace- sensitive, however, you’ll have to be more precise in adjusting it. If you would like to dive in cold(er) waters, we would recommend a 1st stage with a membrane.

Regulator sets with an EN250A marking have been tested by breathing simultaniously through the primary 2nd stage and the octopus.
