The EOS R5 housing is built from high-quality aluminum, which makes it robust, durable, and built to last a lifetime. Every button, lever, and dial is avialable at your fingertips, and there is absolutely no compromise in camera controls. The housing has fantastic ergonomics. All buttons, levers and dials are readily available at your fingertips and can be easily accessible even while wearing thick gloves.

All controls on the MDX-R5II are ergonomically designed to allow maximum camera operation. All major camera functions can be operated with the movement of your thumb and other fingers without removing your hand from the grip. Your ports and gear can be used without modification with EF-mount lenses with mount adapters, so the system chart is identical to that of previous MDX SLR housings.

Housing Grip
The housing includes Sea & Sea Grip Plus, comfortable handles for a more enjoyable experience when shooting. In addition in also includes SA8 Fixed Ball Bases.
Controls
Ergonomics of the housing is excellent. All important camera controls are accessible through the housing. Levers, buttons and dials are readily available at your finger tips.
Bulkhead
The housing bulkhead allows you to install Sea & Sea Leak Alarm Unit ( new leak alarm unit comes pre-fitted) or a third party vacuum sensor with an optional 16mm step down converter.
Upper Control Panel
A clear window on the housing is incorporated in order to view the cameras control panel. A 0.5x pickup finder is standard. The 0.66x and 0.8x pick-up viewfinders, VF45 1.2x and VF180 1.2x can also be attached as options.
Compatible with Both RF & EF Mount Lenses
The Sea & Sea focus & zoom gears are adjustable to accommodate both RF & EF lenses.
Port System
The MDX-R5 II is compatible with a wide variety of Sea & Sea Ports for various lenses 
Flash Trigger
The strobes can be triggered with a manual flash trigger using an electronic sync cord, or you can use the Sea & Sea Optical TTL Converter with fiber optic cables.

The port lock prevents the port from accidental turning or loosening.
